Nvidia's N1X processor: As many shader cores as in a GeForce RTX 5070
The N1X has appeared in Geekbench – this time with GPU specifications. With 6144 shader cores, it is said to be quite large.
Nvidia's GB10, which should be very similar to the N1X.
The Geekbench benchmark reveals more details about Nvidia's upcoming ARM processor, N1X. This time, a user of a pre-production system has uploaded an OpenCL result. This test runs on the integrated graphics unit, which is why Geekbench reads out the most important GPU features.
According to this, the GPU has 48 compute units, known as shader multiprocessors (SMs) in Nvidia parlance. With Nvidia's Blackwell architecture, there are 128 shader cores in each SM, which would result in 6144 in the N1X. The graphics chip of the GeForce RTX 5070 has the same number of shader cores, but interested parties should expect significantly lower performance from the N1X.
Less performance in the processor package
A combined processor has a much tighter energy budget, which results in lower clock frequencies. Geekbench read 1048 MHz, which would correspond to 12.9 teraflops of FP32 computing power. A GeForce RTX 5070 achieves 2.4 times this in games (31 teraflops). However, the N1X value is not necessarily final and can vary considerably depending on the system. The GPU in AMD's fastest combo processor for end customers, Strix Halo, aka Ryzen AI Max 300, is already considered powerful with 2560 shaders.
In addition to the lower electrical power consumption, the N1X has to make do with slower LPDDR5X memory instead of GDDR7 memory compared to the GeForce RTX 5070. Geekbench has read 128 GB, probably at 256 bits. On the CPU side, Geekbench again indicates two 10-core composites, i.e., 20 cores in total.
Nvidia has not yet officially announced the N1X. However, its existence is considered an open secret. It is intended for desktop PCs and high-end notebooks.

GB10 twin
Before the N1X for notebooks, Nvidia is launching the already announced GB10 for mini-workstations. If the Geekbench specifications turn out to be true, the chips are likely to be identical or almost identical.
The GB10 also has 20 CPU cores (10 Cortex-X925 and 10 Cortex-A725) and a 256-bit memory interface for up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Nvidia has not yet officially revealed much about the GPU. However, 6144 shader cores are also listed in the award for the Computex hardware trade fair.
Nvidia develops its combined processors together with Mediatek. Rumors recently surfaced that Nvidia had postponed the launch to the first quarter of 2026. Our sources even gave us the second quarter of 2026.
