100 minutes of continuous all-round video recording in 8K resolution (7680 × 3840 pixels) and at 30 frames per second (fps) should be possible with DJI's camera, which weighs just 183 grams. If you want fluffier videos, you can record in the same resolution at 50 fps. With 6K 360 videos, the recording time should even increase to 190 minutes. Recordings are stored on 105 GB of internal memory. When this is full, users can switch to an optional microSD card.

As a special feature, DJI advertises a 25 percent increase in sensor utilization, which is achieved by the square area of the newly developed one-inch CMOS sensor. The aperture is kept quite open at f/1.9, allowing plenty of light to reach the sensor.

The camera records videos with 10-bit color depth in the D-Log M color profile. Although it shoots panoramic photos with up to 120 megapixels (15,520 × 7760 pixels), it only saves them in JPEG and not in RAW format. Normal photos are possible with 30.72 MP (6400 × 4800). There is only electronic image stabilization (EIS) for photos and videos.

Thanks to its dynamic range of 13.5 f-stops, the Osmo 360 should still be able to capture fine details even in unfavorable contrast conditions, for example at sunrises and sunsets.

As is usual for this class of camera, the Osmo 360 can also record slow-motion videos: up to 240 frames per second at full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) are possible, which amounts to up to eight times slow motion at a playback speed of 30 fps.

In all modes, the camera automatically calculates the selfie stick from the images and videos.

In single lens mode, the Osmo 360 acts as a camera with two separate lenses. DJI is particularly targeting vloggers who want to switch seamlessly from the front to the rear view.

The IP68-certified cam is designed to withstand a lot: it is said to be waterproof up to 10 meters and can still perform at an air temperature of -20 degrees Celsius. However, the lenses on the Osmo 360 cannot be replaced. According to DJI, however, they are specially hardened to withstand extreme environmental influences.

The Osmo 360 is now available in the standard combo. The set costs 480 euros. As usual, DJI offers other bundles. DJI sees the Osmo 360 as a new member of the Osmo series. Accordingly, it can use existing accessories.
