The Czech software company JetBrains has announced that it will raise its prices on October 1, 2025. After three years of price stability, the manufacturer of popular Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) has been forced to increase subscription prices due to inflation. Those who pay in advance will be able to keep their current prices for a limited time after October 1.
Price increases for IDEs, .NET tools, dotUltimate and All Products Pack
The subscriptions for the JetBrains development environments – such as IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm or PhpStorm –, the .NET tools, the .NET toolkit dotUltimate and the IDE collection All Products Pack are affected. JetBrains informs about the price changes on a website. For example, the cost of the IDE IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate for individual use will increase from 169 euros to 199 euros (plus VAT) for annual payments and from 16.90 euros to 19.90 euros – for monthly payments, in each case for the first year of use. For companies, the increases are steeper: The same product currently costs 599 euros per user and year (or 59.90 euros per month), and from October 1, 719 euros (or 71.90 euros per month) – an increase of around 20 percent.

For the All Products Pack, which consists of eleven development environments and additional content, the price for individual use will increase from 289 euros to 299 euros per year, and for use in companies from 779 euros to 979 euros per year and user.
Free offers are still listed for certain user groups such as teachers, students or core maintainers of open source projects.
Alternative: pay in advance and save
JetBrains offers its existing and new customers the option of paying in advance at the current prices: For individual subscriptions, this then applies for up to three years, for commercial subscriptions for up to two years. However, the corresponding payment will then be due in one go before October 1, 2025.
