Google will unveil its new Pixel family on August 20. In addition to the smartphones in the Pixel 10 series, there will also be a foldable, which the company is already presenting in a short clip. A few days ago, Google already gave us a glimpse of the Pixel 10.
New foldable looks almost like its predecessor
The 30-second video suggests that the new foldable looks very similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This shouldn't come as a big surprise to many, as a lot of details about the device have already been leaked in advance.

First, the clip shows a schematic view of details of the smartphone, followed by a pan of the unfolded inner display and a clear view of the back with its camera system, which is designed in the same way as its predecessor. The teaser also shows that the foldable will apparently be available in at least a rich shade of gray, which Google had already shown for the Pixel 10.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold allegedly with IP68 protection
Google's video for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold unfortunately does not reveal any technical data, which the manufacturer would probably like to withhold for the Pixel event. However, numerous leakers have revealed almost everything about the new devices. Among other things, it is said that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be the first foldable with IP68 protection. This would make it just as dust- and waterproof as a classic upper-class smartphone. By comparison, Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 is only protected to IP48 and is therefore less dustproof.

According to further information, the foldable smartphone will also be available in green and gold. Like the other models in the Pixel 10 series, the foldable is likely to be equipped with a new Tensor G5 chip, which for the first time will be manufactured by TSMC rather than Samsung. The Taiwanese contract chip manufacturer, which also produces Apple's processors, is known for its modern manufacturing processes. It is conceivable that the foldable will offer full support for Qi2, similar to the Pixel 10 smartphones.
Other presumed features of the new Pixel Foldable: The rear camera is said to consist of a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with five-fold optical zoom. For selfies, 10-megapixel cameras are integrated in both screens. The battery is said to have a capacity of 5015 mAh and is therefore far larger than that of its predecessor with 4650 mAh.
In addition to the Pixel 10 models, Google is planning to present other new products on August 20. In addition to fourth-generation Pixel Watches, new budget earbuds, the Pixel Buds 2a, are also on the agenda.
