Strong euro: graphics card prices fall across the board
The strong euro is reflected in desktop graphics cards. Nvidia itself is adjusting the prices of its Founders Editions.

All current graphics card models from AMD and Nvidia have become cheaper over the past two months. This is apparently not only due to good availability: Nvidia itself is lowering the prices of its own Founders Editions, citing the strong euro and the weakening US dollar as reasons.
Nvidia already lowered prices in March. At that time, one euro was worth a good 1.08 dollars. Today, one euro is worth around 1.17 dollars, which is eight percent more. Nvidia is leaving itself a small cushion and is lowering the prices of the Founders Editions by just under five to six percent.
The top model GeForce RTX 5090 now costs 2099 instead of 2229 euros, the GeForce RTX 5080 1059 instead of 1119 euros and the GeForce RTX 5070 now 589 instead of 619 euros. There are no Founders Editions of the other RTX 5000 graphics cards. Nvidia does not comment on their official price recommendations.

Radeons also cheaper
Numerous manufacturer cards have also fallen in price recently. This also applies to current Radeon models. Except the GeForce RTX 5090, all GeForce RTX 5000 and Radeon RX 9000 are cheaper at retail than originally planned by AMD and Nvidia.
The Radeon RX 9070 XT has seen the biggest price reduction of ten percent since June. XFX's Swift Triple Fan (starting from 629 €) is currently the cheapest manufacturer card. The XT version and the Radeon RX 9070 are now only 50 euros apart.
In the Nvidia camp, the price reductions among the cheapest manufacturer cards in retail range from 2.5 to 8.1 percent. The GeForce RTX 5080 is approaching the 1000 euro mark and the GeForce RTX 5070 the 500 euro mark. The GeForce RTX 5060 falls below the 300 euro mark.
