Sony is launching its first mouse and keyboard under the Inzone brand. Both the Inzone Mouse-A and the Inzone KBD-H75 are designed to appeal to gamers with high-end demands. For both products, Sony emphasizes its collaboration with the players of the e-sports team Fnatic.

The manufacturer is self-confident: with a price tag of 179 euros for the mouse, Sony is competing with established giants such as Razer and Logitech. In the case of the keyboard, Sony even outbids the competition – it costs 299 euros.

The Inzone Mouse-A has a modern interior. The heart is based on Pixart's high-end PAW-3950 sensor with up to 30,000 dpi. Sony refers to an adapted version with the name 3950IZ. Nordics 53833 is used as the microcontroller. The optical buttons come from the widely used supplier Raesha, which also manufactures buttons for Razer.

The housing is symmetrical. Because there are only thumb buttons on the left, Sony advertises the Inzone Mouse-A as a right-handed mouse. In terms of weight, the manufacturer takes its cue from emerging Asian manufacturers such as Pulsar, Mchose, Scyrox and Wlmouse: the Inzone Mouse-A weighs a good 48 grams including the battery. This makes it lighter than any mouse from Razer or Logitech. Interested parties can compare the shape of the housing with any other mouse via Eloshapes.com.

The Inzone Mouse-A can be connected via 2.4 GHz dongle, Bluetooth and USB-C cable. The former supports a polling rate of 8000 Hertz. As usual, however, the high value eats up a lot of battery life: Sony claims 19 hours with 8000 Hertz, but 90 hours with 1000 Hertz.

The 75 percent layout gives the Inzone KBD-H75 its name. Without a numeric keypad and with only four additional keys, this layout is somewhat narrower than the so-called tenkeyless layout. There is a rotary dial at the top right, for example, for setting the PC volume.

Sony is following the trend that has emerged from the custom scene: instead of screwing the circuit board into place from above, it is hooked into the housing using an overhanging plate (gasket mount). This plate also provides support for the buttons.

All keys use linear Hall effect switches from Gateron. This allows the keyboard to recognize how deeply the keys are pressed. In terms of actuation force, the switches are said to be comparable to Cherry's MX-Red. As the circuit board uses hot-swap sockets, users can replace the switches with other compatible variants.

Only the upper casing is made from aluminum. The base, on the other hand, is made of plastic. The Inzone KBD-H75 weighs 810 grams. All software functions can be operated via the driver and web interface.

Sony plans to ship the Inzone Mouse-A and Inzone KBD-H75 from September 30, 2025. Pre-orders of the keyboard are currently only possible in the US ANSI layout in the company's own webstore. A German ISO layout is to follow.
