"Hollow Knight: Silksong" to be released in early September
The long-awaited second part of "Hollow Knight" will once again be available DRM-free on GOG and in the Humble Store on September 4.

"Hollow Knight: Silksong" will be released on September 4 for a wide range of platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S as well as Nintendo Switch 1 and 2. Away from the official console stores, the game is coming to Steam, GOG and the Humble Store. The latter two platforms will offer "Hollow Knight: Silksong" without copy protection (Digital Rights Management, DRM).
The developer studio Team Cherry reveals the release date in a new trailer. It shows some gameplay scenes and the first bosses.

Long development time
Team Cherry originally announced "Hollow Knight: Silksong" at the beginning of 2019. The development time is now more than six years. Since its release in 2017, the first installment has been one of the most popular spin-offs from the 2D Metroidvania genre. On Steam, "Hollow Knight" has a good 384,000 reviews – 97 percent of which are positive.
Team Cherry and all stores have so far remained silent about the price of the second part, "Silksong". Currently, interested parties can only be notified as soon as the key sale starts. The first part costs just under 15 euros.
