Vicky Pirker will take attendees in her keynote on a provocative journey through the evolution of User Experience in her keynote "Nobody needs UX" – from historical milestones through amusing examples of overly ambitious UX concepts to life-saving implementations that demonstrate how essential thoughtful design becomes in truly critical situations.

That UX is more than just "nice to have" is reinforced by Eva Feigl's talk "Beyond clicks: Measuring UX, outcomes and real product success". She shows how frontend teams can combine product telemetry with qualitative user research to truly understand user behavior and achieve measurable outcomes. Marco Emrich and Ferdinand Ade tackle another fundamental topic with "How valuable are your tests" – an interactive format that uses Vladimir Khorikov's "Four Pillars of a Good Test" to provide objective criteria for test evaluation.

As in previous years, however, the entire spectrum of frontend development will be covered – from AI-powered coding tools and security fundamentals to web components and accessibility requirements. A few examples from the agenda: Daniel Sogl's keynote on how AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Cursor are transforming the developer role, Martina Kraus's warning "Why Storing Tokens in the Browser Is a Bad Idea", and Max Marschall's insights into AG-UI & MCP protocols for standardized agentic web interfaces. You find the whole agenda on the homepage of the c’t <webdev>.

The c't <webdev> also offers full-day workshops on November 18 covering practical topics – from AI applications with LangChain and security fundamentals to UX heuristics mastery. The conference takes place on November 19 and 20 in Cologne in English. Early bird prices of € 749 for the conference and € 1,549 for combination tickets are valid until October 21.
