Galaxy Event: Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and new tablets at IFA

Samsung plans to present new products at the IFA. In addition to refreshed tablets, the manufacturer also talks about a new addition to the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung has announced a Galaxy event for September 4. This means that Apple is not the only company that will be presenting new products next month.

Interestingly, Samsung does not refer to a Galaxy Unpacked event in the invitation, but rather a Galaxy event. The Korean company seems to use the Unpacked events for the presentation of its premium devices such as the Galaxy S and Foldable series, so the IFA event seems to be more of an "event" for Samsung. Samsung has already revealed in the invitation what will be presented at the Galaxy event at the beginning of next month.

According to the manufacturer, we can look forward to "premium tablets with Galaxy AI" and a new "member of the Samsung Galaxy S25 family". Given that Samsung already said a few weeks ago that it would be launching the Galaxy S25 FE, a slightly cheaper version of the S25 series, earlier than usual and would also be showing new tablets, this is no great surprise. Interested parties can watch the presentation on Samsung's YouTube channel and the manufacturer's website from 11:30 a.m. Central European Summer Time.

New devices already leaked

However, the products have already been extensively leaked: the Galaxy S25 FE was briefly listed at MediaMarkt, including all specifications. Among other things, the product page revealed that the Galaxy S25 FE will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2340 × 1080 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate on board, making it roughly the same size as the Galaxy S25 Plus. The processor is expected to be the Exynos 2400, which was already used in the Galaxy S24. The chip is supported by at least 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. One UI 8 based on Android 16 will be pre-installed ex works as the operating system.

In terms of tablets, Samsung appears to be presenting the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Tab S11, which laut Leak are expected to come with 14.9 and 11-inch screens. The manufacturer is likely to use a MediaTek chip as the processor.

However, Samsung has apparently not yet shot its powder for this year with these products: In the final months of the year, the manufacturer is set to unveil its first XR headset, codenamed "Project Moohan", which is based on Google Android XR. The manufacturer also intends to present its Tri-Fold device. However, there is speculation that Samsung will initially only offer these products in a few regions outside of Europe.
