Google's Pixel 10 series seems to have a massive problem for some new owners: The screen of their Google Phones only shows colorful stripes and is no longer temporarily operable. There are also complaints about slow or faltering wireless charging.

"I left my phone on the table for five minutes, and when I came back, the screen looked like it was glitching," writes one Reddit user about the error on his Pixel 10. And he is apparently not alone. Recent owners of the new Google smartphone are writing about similar experiences on Reddit and Android Authority.
As can be seen from the various posts, the devices seem to work normally again after a few minutes' pause when the device is switched on and off again or a forced restart. However, it is "not a good sign for a brand new phone," according to one Redditor.

So far, it is not known what could be causing this worrying phenomenon. There is speculation that it could be a hardware defect on the panel, the mainboard or the graphics chip of the affected smartphones. However, a software error such as a buggy graphics driver is also conceivable. We have asked Google for a statement.
Affected users generally have the option of exchanging their new Pixel 10 within the 14-day right of withdrawal. Alternatively, they can contact Google support to initiate a repair or replacement.
Slow wireless charging
Less dramatic, but still extremely annoying, are reports of problems with wireless charging. Users of one of the Pixel 10 models write that their smartphones either do not charge at all or charge extremely slowly via wireless charging pads that do not comply with the new Qi2 standard. According to 9 to 5 Google and Reddit, the Pixel 10 devices would then only be charged with a maximum of five watts instead of 15W or 25 W for the 10 XL.

9 to 5 Google has observed the slow charging behavior with MagSafe chargers (without Qi2) and some other older Qi chargers – also with Google's own Pixel Stand 2nd Gen. Specific causes for this behavior are unclear. We have also asked Google for a statement on this matter.
