DeepL presents its own AI agent for companies
Finance, sales, customer service – companies will be able to handle all of these tasks using an AI agent from DeepL in the future.

DeepL presents an AI agent. It is designed to support companies in various areas. However, DeepL is actually known for its translation service of the same name and the writing aid DeepL Write. The Cologne-based company develops everything itself, including the AI models.
According to the press release, the agent has been "developed to optimize and automate a variety of tasks in the field of knowledge work". It is still a beta version at DeepL AI Labs, which the first companies can already test and which is expected to be generally available shortly." For years, we have been investing in understanding and solving complex linguistic challenges with the help of AI, which requires the highest level of precision, context awareness and security," says DeepL founder and CEO Jaroslaw Kutylowski. Thanks to many years of in-house research and development, his company therefore has a major advantage in the development of agent-based AI.

Like all AI agents, the one from DeepL is designed to perform repetitive tasks. The company's potential areas of application include finance, sales, marketing, customer support and localization. As an example, DeepL mentions summarizing the findings of a sales team, but also automating invoices in the finance department. The agent is autonomous, it works "completely within the digital environment of each user". It has a keyboard, browser, and mouse at its disposal so that it can "perform almost any task that a human being can perform with the help of computer systems." Chief Scientist Stefan Mesken emphasizes the agent's good understanding of language. The agent also learns from previous interactions, which should make it better and better over time.
Admins and managers have the opportunity to monitor tasks, and human intervention is of course also provided for safety reasons. The safety mechanisms are also intended to set it apart from the AI agents used by other companies.
According to the company, DeepL is used by more than 200,000 business customers worldwide. More than 1000 employees work for DeepL worldwide.
