T-Systems ernennt Chief Sovereignty Officer
T-Systems is responding to its customers' desire for more digital sovereignty in the cloud with its own Chief Sovereignty Officer.
In her new role as Chief Sovereignty Officer, Christine KnackfuĂź-Nikolic, currently still CTO at T-Systems, will be responsible for the establishment and further development of sovereign cloud solutions at T-Systems. This is T-Systems' response to customers' desire for more digital sovereignty.
"Due to geopolitical uncertainties, more and more companies in Germany and Europe are demanding sovereign cloud solutions", explained Ferri Abolhassan, CEO of T-Systems and member of the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management. T-Systems wants to become Europe's first address for secure and sovereign cloud and AI solutions.

The fact that the Chief Sovereignty Officer is part of T-Systems' management team underlines the importance of the position for the company. In an interview with iX magazine, Christine KnackfuĂź-Nikolic explained how T-Systems distinguishes between three levels of sovereignty: Data Sovereignty, Operational Sovereignty and Technical Sovereignty. According to KnackfuĂź-Nikolic, T-Systems has suitable offerings for all three levels of sovereignty.
