At Facebook, the movie "Highlander" was apparently watched one too many times. Following the well-known saying "There can only be one", employees of the social network apparently did not think it possible that there could be more than one Mark Zuckerberg. To protect their boss, they blocked a namesake several times. Unfortunately, the good man is a lawyer: he has now sued Facebook for damages.
Mark S. Zuckerberg, who specializes in insolvencies in the US state of Indiana, argues that he must be represented on Facebook. After all, his competitors are too, and a lack of discoverability costs him revenue. He told local radio station WTHR that the repeated blocking of his account had caused him a loss of earnings, which he now wants to sue for.
The small difference
The small difference in the names of the two Marks is the middle name. While the Facebook founder is called Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, the lawyer's business card reads Mark Steven Zuckerberg. However, this apparently did not stop the Facebook auditors from accusing the lawyer of assuming a false identity.

The misunderstanding was then cleared up in each case. However, it usually didn't take long before his account was blocked again. With the lawsuit, Zuckerberg hopes that his request will finally be taken seriously. He has no particular interest in taking Meta to court, especially as Facebook has more money and lawyers at its disposal. But he argues that he sees no other way out. When asked by WTHR, Meta explained that Menlo Park understands there can be more than one Mark Zuckerberg. They want to get to the bottom of the matter.
