AMD's new cheapest Ryzen 9000 processor to be released soon
The Ryzen 5 9500F should be available in less than two weeks. An announcement has already been made in China.

AMD's AM5 platform will soon be getting a new addition: the company is already listing the new entry-level model Ryzen 5 9500F in China. According to a presentation, the global launch will follow on September 18. The Chinese website Benchlife, which has often published correct preliminary information, shows corresponding slides.
The Ryzen 5 9500F replaces the Ryzen 5 7500F (starting from 124,90 €) and should expand AMD's processor range in the price range of 150 euros, perhaps even lower.
Slightly less clock speed
Like the already available Ryzen 5 9600 (starting from 179 €), the Ryzen 5 9500F has six Zen 5 cores with simultaneous multithreading (SMT), i.e. 12 threads. AMD has reduced the maximum CPU clock frequency slightly by 200 MHz. The maximum boost clock is now a smooth 5.0 GHz. However, due to better availability, the even faster Ryzen 5 9600X (starting from 191,93 €) is currently slightly cheaper than the normal 9600 variant – the X model reaches up to 5.4 GHz. In games, the drop of 400 MHz, or a good seven percent, can have a slight effect on the frame rate.
The lack of a GPU could be more serious for some users. All PCs with an F model require a separate graphics card for image output. This means that the Ryzen 5 9500F is not suitable for gamers who want a backup for image output or for office PCs.

In Europe only as a tray CPU
As with the Ryzen 5 7500F, China seems to be getting an extra sausage. Unlike in the Far East, there will be no individually available boxed version of the Ryzen 5 9500F with a manufacturer's warranty in this country.
AMD apparently intends the processor here primarily for complete PCs. German retailers will once again only receive the model as a tray version: customers will not receive any official AMD packaging and will only receive support from the retailer under warranty.
Intel's most affordable current desktop processor is the Core Ultra 5 225F from the Arrow Lake generation. In addition to six performance cores, the model has four efficiency cores. In return, current Intel CPUs are no longer capable of Hyper-Threading.
