Xbox in the car: a new partnership between LG and Microsoft makes it possible. In the future, it will be possible to stream games via Xbox Cloud Gaming on certain LG infotainment systems. To achieve this, you need to start the Xbox app on the infotainment system and have a compatible Bluetooth controller to hand.

For this to work, several requirements must be met: first and foremost, you need a car that is equipped with the webOS Automotive Content Platform. This includes some current KIA models. You also need to be a subscriber to Microsoft's Game Pass gaming subscription at the Ultimate level and have a permanent internet connection in your car.
If this is the case, you can stream compatible games from the subscription to the infotainment display. Since the end of last year, it has also been possible to stream selected titles that are not part of the Game Pass subscription, provided you have them elsewhere in your library.

Xbox everywhere
Microsoft has been working for several years to open up more and more systems as an Xbox platform. The company's cloud gaming can be accessed via browsers, mobile apps, and applications for smart TVs. To be able to stream, you must have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription on all of these platforms. It costs 18 euros per month and, in addition to streaming, also offers a wide range of games that can be played locally at no extra charge—on the Xbox console or Windows PC.
Streaming video games comes with a few compromises. Above all, users must expect increased input latency, but compression artefacts during streaming cannot be ruled out either. A stable and fast internet connection is essential for cloud gaming—in the car is a particular challenge. It is not yet known exactly when Xbox Cloud Gaming will be distributed on LG infotainment systems.
