Hideo Kojima shows trailer for horror game "OD Knock"
Hideo Kojima is working with Microsoft on a new horror game called "OD". Now there is a new trailer showing match gameplay.

Developer legend Hideo Kojima has released a first teaser trailer for his upcoming horror game "OD Knock." In it, the supposed protagonist, played by Sophia Lillis, can be seen lighting candles—before it is grabbed by hands.
“OD Knock” is being developed by Kojima Productions in collaboration with Xbox Game Studios. The title was originally announced for the Xbox in December 2023. At the time, however, Kojima only showed a somewhat confusing teaser trailer in which the characters from the title were introduced with a few cryptic sentences.

Now there are scenes that are more reminiscent of real sections of the game. The trailer leaves open whether this is actually them or at least rendered in the engine. Graphically, what is shown is highly sophisticated, especially the face of Sophia Lillis' character, looks amazingly real. The first-person animations are also astonishing. The game is being developed in the Unreal Engine.
“OD” follows "PT"
Video game trailers usually communicate in a short text hint whether you are seeing real gameplay or pre-rendered scenes in the engine. The “OD” trailer does without this—possibly to keep the game as mysterious as possible. The hype surrounding “OD Knock” is already huge among horror fans. Much of the title is reminiscent of Kojima's “PT,” a “playable teaser” for a “Silent Hill” game that was never released. The fact that “PT” was removed from the store and can no longer be installed only further accelerated the horror game's cult status. Many now see “OD” as an unofficial successor.

The new “OD” trailer was released during a livestream organized by Kojima Productions, which focused on “Death Stranding.” In addition to a film from Studio A24, an animated project called “Death Stranding: Mosquito” in the “Death Stranding” universe is also in the works. Kojima also spoke about his game project Physint, which is being developed for the PlayStation console. The game is currently still in the concept phase.
