Thanks to new functions and tools in Kali Linux 2025.3, IT security problems can now be detected and localized even more effectively. The latest version is available now.
Detect software vulnerabilities
The developers list the new features in an article. Thanks to the newly implemented HashiCorp tools Packer and Vagrant, handling virtual machines should now be even easier. Nexmon can also be used again to analyze network traffic. A Raspberry Pi 5 is suitable for this purpose.

To detect security issues even more effectively, the developers have added ten new tools. These include Detect It Easy (DiE) for analyzing files and Gemini CLI for using the open-source AI agent via the terminal.
The developers have also expanded CARsenal's range of functions for checking the IT security of cars. This includes new functions and adjustments to the user interface.
