"Forza Horizon 6" not coming to Playstation for the time being
The racing game "Forza Horizon 6" is coming to Xbox and PC in 2026 – Playstation users will have to wait a little longer.

Microsoft is only releasing the racing game “Forza Horizon 6,” which was announced last week, for Xbox and PC for now. However, a PlayStation version of “FH6” will follow at a later date, the development team writes in an FAQ. It is unclear how far in advance.
Microsoft has recently begun to release numerous in-house productions from exclusivity and port them to the Playstation. These titles released on the PS5 include “Forza Horizon 5”, the latest installment of the popular casual racing series. Last week, Microsoft also announced a port of “Flight Simulator 2024”.
Microsoft prioritizes game sales
The fact that “Forza Horizon 6” is only being released for PC and Xbox for now at least shows that Microsoft has not yet completely given up on the exclusive games model. Exclusive games sell less but can boost hardware sales. However, because Microsoft sells significantly fewer consoles than Sony, the Xbox manufacturer has recently focused primarily on selling games and expanding its user base with PS5 users.

Microsoft heralded this change in strategy last year. First came “Sea of Thieves,” “Hi-Fi Rush,” “Pentiment,” and “Grounded” on the PlayStation. In contrast to “Forza Horizon 6,” the remaster of “Gears of War” was released directly on the Sony console. Starfield and Avowed, among others, are still not on the PlayStation.
“Forza Horizon 6” is set in Japan
Microsoft announced “Forza Horizon 6” at the Tokyo Game Show with a short render trailer. Gameplay scenes will not be shown until 2026. The location of the announcement is no coincidence: the sixth 'Forza Horizon' installment is set in Japan. The developers at Turn 10 and Playground promise the largest game map of all previous 'Forza' games.
The development team also promises that the Japanese game world will change more from season to season than in previous instalments.
