Fritzbox 5690, Fritz-Repeater 2700 and 1610 Outdoor and Fritzfon M3 are coming
Fritz is launching four products. The top-of-the-range fibre optic Fritzbox 5690 costs 319 euros, the Fritz repeater 2700 costs 149 euros.

The Fritzbox 5690, the two Fritz repeaters 2700 and 2700 and the Fritzfon M3 are going on sale. In the case of the Fritzbox, however, interested parties should wait until the price falls below the recommended retail price of 319 Euro. Otherwise, the all-round better Fritzbox 5690 Pro is available (starting from 298,99 €) at a lower price, as it is already below the recommended retail price.
The Fritzbox 5690 (not Pro) is designed for active and passive fibre optic connections of type AON (max. 1 Gbit/s) and GPON (max. 2.5 Gbit/s). Two suitable modules for the SFP slot (Small Form-factor Pluggable) are included so that users do not have to use a provider modem.
The Fritzbox 5690 also supports Wi-Fi 7, but without the 6 GHz band. Compared to the cheaper Fritzbox 5590 (starting from 209,90 €), the throughput is doubled thanks to the channel widening to 160 MHz. Fritz claims up to 5760 Mbps gross in the 5 GHz band with four MIMO streams. In the 2.4 GHz network, only 688 Mbit/s are possible with two MIMO streams.
Two Ethernet ports each transmit 2.5 and one gigabit per second. A 2.5 Gbit/s port also functions as a WAN connection if you want to operate an external modem.
Otherwise, there are the usual amenities such as USB (3.2 Gen 1, formerly known as USB 3.0, 5 Gbit/s), DECT telephony and smart home support.

New Fritz repeaters
The Fritz Repeater 2700 supports Wi-Fi 7 in the same configuration as the Fritzbox 5690: 5760 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps at 2.4 GHz. There is a 2.5 Gbit/s LAN connection for cable connections. Fritz charges 149 Euro for the repeater.

The Fritz 1610 Outdoor repeater is named after its suitability for the garden: the housing with IP54 certification protects against rain and dust, but must not be completely submerged in water.
Fritz dispenses with the latest technology here and makes do with Wi-Fi 6 and two MIMO streams each in the 5 and 2.4 GHz bands. The maximum transfer rates are 2400 and 600 Mbit/s respectively. Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE+). A PoE power supply unit is included. The recommended retail price is 129 euros.

Entry-level Fritzfon without colour display
The Fritzfon M3 has a larger 1.8-inch display, but remains a monochrome display. The housing and keypad are more reminiscent of the C6 (with colour display). Cost point: 55 Euro.
The products should appear at retailers in the coming days. Fritz itself does not yet stock them in its own newly opened online shop.
