The Messenger app Signal was not functional on Monday morning. Outages are occurring, preventing the sending and receiving of messages. Affected users are currently reporting on outage portals and the official subreddit to share their experiences. The posts suggest a worldwide problem.
Heise online can confirm the issues in Germany, as reported on Reddit, and users from Australia, the USA, and Great Britain are also reporting on social media. Further user reports suggest a larger outage of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Signal itself reports no issues on its official status page.
