Saudi Arabian Startup Launches AI Operating System
Everything can be easily operated by voice. This is Humain 1 – the AI operating system from the Saudi startup Humain.

Artificial intelligence will fundamentally change computing. This has already been stated by Microsoft's Satya Nadella, OpenAI's Sam Altman, Jonas Andrulis, formerly of Aleph Alpha, and many others. Now, a Saudi Arabian startup named Humain is announcing the first AI operating system. It is set to be released this week.
The difference from existing operating systems is that it is intended to be voice-based. Instead of selecting apps and icons on the screen, users will control the computer using their voice. The operating system is called Humain 1. And it aims to be nothing less than an alternative to Windows and macOS. This is reported by the news agency Reuters, which refers to a presentation by Humain CEO Tareq Amin at the Fortune Global Forum in Riyadh.
AI Operating Systems Follow LLMs
The internal structure of Humain's operating system remains unknown for now. Microsoft is developing Windows into an AI-first operating system, with Copilot simply taking center stage in all areas for interaction with the system. Aleph Alpha already has an AI operating system with Pharia-1, is already on the market. It is designed to be easily integrated into existing IT environments. Pharia-1 is intended to provide a sovereign environment for developing and running AI applications. Developing increasingly larger and more powerful LLMs is only attractive to a few companies. OpenAI, Meta, and Google, for example, continue to compete in this area.

Humain has only existed since May of this year. The startup is directly supported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition to the operating system, its portfolio also includes other AI services and AI infrastructure. A PC has already been developed in collaboration with Qualcomm. The Horizon Pro PC was presented at the Snapdragon Summit was unveiled in September. During the presentation, Amin also spoke about the special feature of integrated AI agents that take over user tasks. According to their statements, Humain no longer has a traditional HR or finance department because all these tasks are handled by AI agents on command. Humain plans to offer such agents as a subscription model in the future.
For infrastructure, Humain is working with AMD and Cisco. Simultaneously, AI factories are to be built in collaboration with Nvidia.
