Enterprise-D made of Lego: First Star Trek set from the end of November

With the Enterprise-D, Lego is releasing a Star Trek set for the first time. The Danish toy manufacturer is releasing the spaceship from the TV series “Star Trek: The Next Generation” in the “Icons” series. The 3600-piece set will be available from November 28, 2025, and will cost around 380 euros, according to the German Lego website. To the dismay of many Star Trek fans, Lego has focused on the Star Wars universe in recent years. Now, the series and films that trace back to Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry are also finding a place in the assortment. Building block models for Star Trek were previously only available from BlueBrixx.

According to the manufacturer, the Lego model of the NCC-1701-D is 60 cm long, 48 cm wide, and 27 cm high. It is mounted on a stand. As in the films and series, the saucer section of the Enterprise can be detached. This was last seen during the destruction of the Enterprise in the feature film “Star Trek: Generations.” In addition, it is possible to open the cover of the main shuttle bay. Inside, there are two small mini-shuttles.

The set also includes Lego figures modeled after the main characters of the series. Captain Jean-Luc Picard holds his favorite drink, Earl Grey (hot), in his hand; Commander William T. Riker comes with the trombone he played in various episodes of the series; and bartender Guinan has a green drink in her hand. It is not known if it is the beverage from Forcas III that caused Data, who had just been equipped with an emotion chip, to pull a face in “Generations.” Also present are Dr. Beverly Crusher and her son Wesley (in his striped gray sweater from the early seasons), Data, Worf, Deanna Troi, and Geordi LaForge. Even Data's cat spot is included. The minifigures can be attached to an included display plate.

Buyers of the set will also receive a Type-15 Shuttle as a gift. The 261-piece model includes the Bajoran Ro Laren as an additional minifigure, who was seen in the series for some time later on.

Leaked in advance

That Lego is now also focusing on Star Trek had already leaked in Korea a few days earlier. Apparently, descriptions and images of the set were accidentally posted online there before the official presentation on Thursday. On Thursday, November 6, starting at 5 p.m., Lego intended to let the designer speak in a livestream. Riker actor Jonathan Frakes was supposed to give a greeting.

Lego and Paramount announced their partnership on September 8, 2025. After the announcement on “Star Trek Day,” it remained uncertain which spaceship would be the first to be realized as a set by Lego.
