Uno Platform 6.4: Support for .NET 10.0 and VS 2026
As the development team announces on the Uno Platform blog, the new version is already compatible with .NET 10.0 thanks to collaboration with Microsoft as part of the second release candidate. Uno Platform can also handle the IDE Visual Studio 2026 and thus utilize the new .slnx format.
In addition, the release brings innovations for Skia performance and window rendering, among others. Also new is the Uno Platform Status Indicator; this shows at a glance the internal status of the Uno development environment concerning SDKs, restores, and local servers.

Artificial Intelligence in Uno Platform Studio 2.0
Uno Platform Studio 2.0 was released at the same time and brings some AI features, including the Hot Design Agent. This AI assistant is intended to create user interfaces in real-time and has no credit limit during the ongoing preview phase. The use of the Hot Design Agent requires a Pro license for Uno Platform Studio.
The new remote MCP agent called Uno Platform MCP connects AI agents to the Uno Platform Docs, providing them with access to documentation, APIs, and best practices. Another new AI feature is Uno Platform App MCP: a set of tools for AI agents, allowing them to view, click, and type in a running app. The MCP features are also available in the free Community Edition of Uno Platform Studio, with App MCP offering more advanced context tools in the Pro Edition.
Further information about the editions of Uno Platform Studio can be found in the FAQs. The Pro Edition costs 39 US dollars per license per month, but open-source maintainers, teachers, and students may be eligible for a license for the Pro Edition. According to the provider, Uno Platform remains an open-source project under the Apache 2.0 license.
