Since 12:48 PM Central European Time, Cloudflare's services have been disrupted worldwide. The provider confirms the problem and is currently trying to determine the cause. At 3:42 p.m. Cloudflare announced to have implemented a fix and that it will continue to monitor the situation. Around 6:14 p.m. Cloudflare seems to be back in normal operation.
As Cloudflare protects access to many services and websites, many of these offerings are also experiencing disruptions. They are simply unreachable and indicate a disruption. The display at least pointed to Cloudflare as the cause of the issue.

Cloudflare's status tracker points to Cloudflare points to an issue affecting many customers: widespread 500 errors, the Cloudflare dashboard, and the API are also affected by errors. “We are working to determine the full scope of the impact and resolve the issue.” Meanwhile, initial signs of recovery are visible, but increased error rates are still possible.
Cloudflare also reports issues with the support portal. Customers may not be able to access tickets. Support is still available via chat on the dashboard.

Currently, access to X and other services is repeatedly failing, with reports from Cloudflare locations in Warsaw, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Cloudflare is providing the promised status updates more frequently but is still busy searching for the cause and trying to solve the problem.
At around 2:09 p.m., Cloudflare reported that it had found the cause and was implementing a fix. In the meantime, the company had deactivated its VPN-like WARP service in London, after which the error rate for users of the service returned to normal levels. As a result, the service was reactivated.

Around 6:14 p.m. Cloudflare reported that the error rates and latency drop to usual levels. The technicians announce a full errer report on the isse in the near future.
Due to their widespread nature, the failure or disruption of cloud systems often has global consequences. Amazon experienced this about four weeks ago when a central database failure there led to worldwide disruptions. Messenger services like Signal were impacted, and some connected mattresses had problems without a connection to their servers and caused their owners a sleepless night.
Updated the article with the current status messages from Cloudflare. At 2:09 p.m. Cloudflare identified the root cause of the issue. At 3:43 p.m. the issue has been fixed according to Cloudflare, they keep monitoring the situation though. At 6:14 p.m. Cloudflare seems to be back to normal operations.
