Just a few days ago, Google Gemini 3 Pro was released. Now comes the associated image generator: Nano Banana Pro. It builds on Gemini 3 Pro and accordingly uses its reasoning capabilities as well as what Google calls world knowledge to better visualize information.

Compared to its predecessor, Nano Banana Pro is said to be able to understand context better. Always in Google's sense: the image generator should create more helpful content. This can be learning content, infographics, diagrams – and certainly also nonsense images. Nano Banana Pro gets access to Google's knowledge base.

A teething problem of AI image generators also seems to be finally defeated: according to Google, text is no longer a problem. Various fonts and calligraphy are even available for this. Translations are also possible without any problems. As an example, Google shows beverage cans with inscriptions in English and Korean that look otherwise identical.

Google has also worked on consistency. The image generator can retain up to five people. Up to 14 images can serve as a basis from which they can assemble a new image. Here, Google shows examples of several monsters that are shown in individual images and then cuddle together on a sofa.

The editing options have also been expanded, such as camera settings, focus, lighting, and more.

However, Nano Banana Pro requires a bit more time to generate images. Those who want an image quickly for fun should continue to use the predecessor, according to Google. The Pro therefore really stands for a more professional version here. Fundamentally, the image generator is integrated into the Gemini app. Free use is limited. Paying users can access Nano Banana Pro through the usual and various channels, from NotebookLM to Google Ads via the API, AI Studio, and the new Antigravity, among others.
