Sony Pictures Virtual Reality will release a new VR game in the MIB universe on December 5, 2025. “Men in Black: Most Wanted” is being developed by VR studio Coatsink and will be released exclusively for the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S. The studio previously worked on “Jurassic World Aftermath” and is now dedicating itself to alien hunters in early 90s New York instead of wild dinosaurs. The plot is intended to offer a new story within the MIB canon, including cameos from familiar characters from the series.
As “Agent I,” whose memories have been erased, players must uncover an alien conspiracy. They will be assisted by “Agent L,” a character who was already seen in the first feature film in 1997 and was portrayed by Linda Fiorentino at the time. “Men in Black,” starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, quickly became a global hit in the late nineties and marked the start of a multi-million dollar franchise. In addition to a total of four feature films, there were also numerous gaming spin-offs for PlayStation, Game Boy, Xbox, and smartphones.
“Essence of the film series with VR-typical gameplay”
The hostile species in “Men in Black: Most Wanted” is called Cylathians and has apparently long since begun to blend in with the population. To stop them, players must fight them in laboratories, streetscapes, and on skyscraper rooftops without attracting too much attention.

Coatsink is giving “Men in Back: Most Wanted” a similar cel-shading look to what it previously used in “Jurassic World Aftermath.” This graphic style is often used, especially in mobile VR games, as it can be creatively used to overcome the graphical limitations of mobile VR headsets. The recently released VR blockbuster “Marvel’s Deadpool VR” also relied on the reduced comic style.

The game is controlled via hand tracking or Meta's Touch controllers. A co-op mode will also be available at launch. Coatsink COO Eddie Beardsmore explained in advance that the goal was to “combine the essence of the film series with VR-typical gameplay.” In addition to the obvious shooter elements, there will also be puzzles and covert investigations. The classic MIB arsenal will be supplemented by new gadgets such as magnetic gloves and mini-scanners.
