US efficiency agency DOGE no longer exists
DOGE was supposed to reform the government apparatus. Recently, there hasn't been much talk about it. A government official confirmed the end of DOGE to Reuters.

The department was supposed to streamline the government apparatus and save billions. However, the “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) has apparently been dissolved, even though its mandate has not yet expired.
“It doesn't exist,” Scott Kupor, director of the Office of Personnel Management, told the British news agency Reuters earlier this month the British news agency Reuters when asked about the status of DOGE. It was no longer a “centralized entity.”
This was the first time that the end of the department was confirmed by an official source. So far, no official has commented in such a way, writes Reuters, not even after US President Donald Trump and entrepreneur and DOGE appointee Elon Musk fell out and Musk left the White House.
So far there have only been hints
There have only been hints that the controversial DOGE will not remain active until July 2026 as planned, writes Reuters. For example, Trump has recently spoken of DOGE only in the past tense. The current DOGE head, Amy Gleason, is also an advisor to US Health Secretary Robert Kennedy. She has recently appeared publicly, almost exclusively in this role. Other DOGE employees have also taken on new roles.
Trump had already announced the establishment of DOGE after his election. On his first day in office, he tasked Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy with setting up DOGE. The goal was a structural reform that would make the government apparatus more efficient and thus save a lot of money. DOGE was supposed to have until the summer of next year for this.
Musk called DOGE the “chainsaw for bureaucracy.” In the first few months, the agency began to cut budgets for federal agencies or downsize them by laying off employees. The staff that Musk and Ramaswamy deployed for this task were not necessarily suitable for the task and the methods questionable.

DOGE claimed to have saved tens of billions of dollars in government spending. However, this cannot be independently verified.
