After Samsung and TCL, LG is now also releasing a TV with a picture frame function. The display, called Gallery TV, has a matte surface and automatically adjusts its display to the ambient light conditions. Through its Gallery+ service, LG aims to offer more than 4500 artworks updated monthly for display on the picture frame TV. LG does not disclose the origin of the art.

Thanks to generously dimensioned storage, users can also save favorite content directly on the TV; the TV would then not need to be continuously connected to Wi-Fi. For the artworks, users must subscribe to a paid service, but according to LG, there is also a free light version available on the TV. Additionally, users can display their own photos or images generated by Gemini AI.

The Gallery TVs can accompany the display with music, either with music from LG or from personal playlists delivered via Bluetooth. The TVs use LG's AI Sound Pro for playback, a virtual 9.1.2 sound.

LG offers the Gallery TV with screen diagonals of 1.40 and 1.65 meters (55 and 65 inches). Like Samsung, the display frame can be personalized using magnetically adhering frames. A wooden frame variant is included in the box, while another is optionally available; a market for this apparently still needs to develop.

LG is using Mini-LED technology in the display. LG does not state whether the diodes are locally dimmable. A price indication is also still missing.
