Amazon has been offering televisions with the so-called "Ambient TV" function for some time now, which displays photos or artworks when people enter the room and no content is currently being streamed on the TV. At this year's CES, the company is now presenting a smart TV where, according to its own statements, this function is to be even better showcased.
The model, called "Amazon Ember Artline," has been equipped with a matte display, which the manufacturer claims reduces mirror effects in all lighting conditions. In addition, customers can choose from ten easily installable, magnetic frames in various colors (including wood tones, fig, and blue) the variant that best suits their style. One frame is included in the scope of delivery, and others can be purchased separately.
Technically speaking, the picture frame TV is a QLED television with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Wi-Fi 6, as well as a 3.9 cm thin design.

Far-field microphones have been integrated into the Ember Artline television for interaction with Amazon's voice assistant Alexa. Thanks to the so-called Omnisense technology, the Ambient TV function automatically switches on or off when people enter or leave the room, according to Amazon. Amazon Photos is seamlessly integrated and offers access to more than 2,000 free artworks.

The Amazon Ember Artline will be available in 55" and 65" from spring, starting at 1000 Euros. Interested parties can register on the Amazon website and will be notified as soon as the Amazon Ember Artline can be pre-ordered. Samsung had previously announced in Las Vegas that it would offer its "The Frame" picture frame television with a living-room-suitable diagonal and also release a cheaper model without an external connection box.
