The Swedish furniture chain Ikea has unveiled a compact Bluetooth speaker named Kallsup at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The cube-shaped device is expected to launch for under 10 US dollars and will be available in April. With an edge length of around 5 centimeters, the Kallsup is about the size of a Rubik's cube and is available in white, green, and pink.
The speaker features two control buttons on top: one for Bluetooth pairing and one for play/pause and skipping tracks. A dedicated volume control is missing; the volume must be adjusted via the source device. The Kallsup is charged via a USB-C port on the back, but a cable is not included. The device automatically turns off after a certain period of inactivity.
Pair up to 100 speakers
A special feature of the Kallsup is the ability to pair up to 100 Ikea speakers together, allowing for a distributed sound system. Ikea likely uses a proprietary protocol over Bluetooth for this. According to media reports, Bluetooth 5.3 is used.

As Michael A. Prospero from Tom's Guide reported after testing it at CES, the sound quality was “surprisingly good for the price.” However, the small speaker lacks bass, and its performance is comparable to that of an Echo Dot of the second or third generation. When used individually, the Kallsup is more suitable for background music, but it could be quite interesting for children and teenagers.
Restart after Sonos partnership
The Kallsup marks Ikea's entry into the budget Bluetooth speaker market on its own. The collaboration with Sonos as part of the Symfonisk series was previously ended. However, existing Symfonisk products will continue to be supplied with software updates and customer support, as Ikea Germany states on its website. Remaining stock of Symfonisk speakers is available while supplies last.
Ikea also plans to introduce new Bluetooth speakers in Germany that are designed to blend better into the home decor with their “sophisticated color design.” The Kallsup, with its color variants, fits into this strategy. Ikea has not yet announced whether and when the speaker will officially come to Germany. The US price of around 9 dollars suggests a European retail price of approximately 9.99 Euros.
