Security update: Dell laptops with Adreno GPU are vulnerable
Dell has closed a potential malware security vulnerability in certain notebooks from the computer manufacturer.

Qualcomm's Adreno GPU driver is riddled with holes and compromises the security of various Dell laptops. A repaired driver is available for download.
Security problem
A warning from the computer manufacturer indicates that the developers have resolved the security issue in Qualcomm Adreno X1-85/X1-45 Graphics Driver 31.0.121.0. All previous versions are said to be vulnerable. The updates have been available since December 2025, but the announcement only went online recently. Dell states that the following models are affected:
- Inspiron 14 5441
- Inspiron 14 7441
- Latitude 5455
- Latitude 7455
- XPS 13 9345
In a post by Qualcomm, there is further information on the closed vulnerabilities (CVE-2025-47343 “high,” CVE-2025-47356 “high”). There, attackers can initiate attacks and trigger memory errors in an unspecified way. This usually leads to crashes. However, in such a context, malware often gets onto systems and compromises them. So far, there are no indications of attacks.
