Following the success of the eponymous series, Amazon is now also turning “Fallout” into a reality show. In “Fallout Shelter,” show participants must duel in various competitions within a vault. The reality series is set to comprise ten episodes and will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
Amazon is currently looking for participants for “Fallout Shelter.” To participate, applicants must be at least 21 years old and be able to travel to the USA and the United Kingdom. Filming is expected to take place in June 2026 for three weeks, according to the casting call.
Produced by the “Squid Game” Team
“Fallout Shelter” (not to be confused with the mobile game of the same name by Bethesda) is produced by Studio Lambert. The team is also behind the reality adaptation of “Squid Game,” some of whose participants expressed significant criticism of the filming: at an abandoned military airport north of London, participants had to stand still for hours in near-freezing temperatures. Several participants had to be treated by paramedics, reported, among others, The Sun.“They treated us like horses in a horse race,” said one person to Rolling Stone.

Nevertheless, Amazon and Studio Lambert will likely have no trouble finding enough interested parties for the reality show. After all, the winner can look forward to a “huge cash prize” – the exact amount has not yet been disclosed.
“Set in the bomb-proof bunkers of Vault-Tec, 'Fallout Shelter' plunges a diverse group of participants into an immersive world where much is at stake,” Amazon writes in the series announcement. “Fallout Shelter” is inspired by the dark humor of the series and aims to present participants with a series of demanding challenges. Players will also have to solve moral dilemmas. It is not yet known when “Fallout Shelter” will be broadcast.
