The prices for almost all Raspberry Pi single-board computers are rising significantly. Raspberry Pi Plc. is increasing the recommended prices for almost all models with at least 2 GByte of memory, from the Raspberry Pi 4 and 5, through the Compute Modules, to the keyboard PCs Raspberry Pi 500 and 500+. The reason is the rising costs for the soldered-on RAM.

Price increases for Raspis
Memory capacity Price increase
1 GByte -
2 GByte 10 US-Dollar
4 GByte 15 US-Dollar
8 GByte 30 US-Dollar
16 GByte 60 US-Dollar

The price increases are relatively and absolutely even stronger than with the previous adjustment in December 2025. The more memory a Raspi has, the more the price increases according to the announcement. The top Raspi 5 model with 16 GByte RAM is rising from 145 to 205 US dollars, an increase of over 41 percent.

Looking at the price of the 1-GByte version for a constant 45 dollars, it becomes clear: for the Raspi 5 with 16 GByte, the memory alone accounts for over three-quarters of the price. For the 8-GByte model for 125 instead of 95 dollars, it's about two-thirds. The Raspis with 2 and 4 GByte RAM currently appear most attractive for hobby projects. The Raspi 4 is still available slightly cheaper than the Raspi 5.

The Euro prices including VAT (not included in US prices) can be derived almost one-to-one from the dollar prices if retailers adhere to the recommendations. A Raspi 5 with 4 GByte RAM thus remains below the 100 Euro mark. Its new recommended price is 85 dollars.

This does not apply to the 16-GByte version (starting from 225 €), as it is already sold out. It is currently approaching 300 Euros in retail. The manufacturer is tied to a single supplier here, as it is a custom production for the Raspi board.

For the 3 series Raspis and the mini versions of the Raspberry Pi Zero series, the manufacturer is not making any price adjustments. They use old LPDDR2 memory, of which the company currently has enough in stock for several years of production.

Raspberry Pi Plc. intends to lower prices again as soon as the memory supply situation improves. However, it may take some time until this happens.
