GeForce RTX 5090 Ti or Titan Blackwell to be released in summer
Nvidia is apparently considering a new top-tier graphics card model. Increased performance is expected to come primarily from higher power consumption.

The GeForce RTX 5090 could receive an even faster sister model in the summer of 2026. Possible names circulating are GeForce RTX 5090 Ti or Titan Blackwell. The ball started rolling in early February when Overclocking.com from France reported. According to them, sources at several graphics card manufacturers have indicated a new top model.
The YouTube channel “Moore’s Law Is Dead” names the first specifications that Nvidia is allegedly testing internally. According to this, the new top model will also feature a cut-down GB202 GPU. Around five percent more shader cores are said to remain active than in the GeForce RTX 5090. This suggests almost 23,000 instead of 21,760 shaders, which is still a good distance from the full configuration with 24,576 shaders. The best GPUs remain reserved for the RTX Pro 6000 with 24,064 shaders.
Power consumption continues to grow
Nvidia reportedly wants to increase power consumption to push the GPU to its limits and thus maximize clock speed. The discussion is about targeted standard power consumption of 700 to 750 watts, with prototypes also said to have drawn 1000 watts and more. In older tests in 2025, prototypes were allegedly ten percent faster than a GeForce RTX 5090. Through strong binning with particularly clock-friendly chips and faster memory, 15 to 20 percent more performance would also be conceivable. The memory capacity apparently remains at 32 GByte.
MSI already applied the brute-force principle with the GeForce RTX 5090 Lightning Z, which can consume up to 1000 watts. Since a 12V-2x6 power connector is designed for up to 600 watts, two are necessary. This would also be the case for a GeForce RTX 5090 Ti or Titan Blackwell. A standard RTX 5090 has up to 575 watts.

Announcement at Computex conceivable
The third quarter of 2026 is being discussed as the presentation date. Nvidia could therefore announce the graphics card at the Computex hardware trade fair in early June. However, Nvidia has changed its mind several times at short notice in recent years regarding new introductions. The information should therefore be treated with caution.
Meanwhile, the rumor mill continues to assume that the earlier planned Super refresh of the RTX 5000 series will not be released in 2026. The Super models of the GeForce RTX 5070, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, and GeForce RTX 5080 were supposed to be released with 50 percent more memory each. Considering the current memory crisis, this would be an expensive upgrade.
