Sacrilege or modern? ThinkPads of the T series are now also available in blue
Lenovo announces several 2026 business notebooks. The flagship ThinkPad T14s comes with CPUs from AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm – and in black or blue.

Every year, Lenovo uses the MWC IT trade fair to present its new lineup of business notebooks. The main focus is on the new processor generations AMD Ryzen AI Pro 400, Intel Core Ultra 300 with vPro, and Qualcomm Snapdragon X2, but the 2026 lineup also brings other minor innovations.
One of these is the color: the seventh generation of the ThinkPad T14 and ThinkPad T14s (both 14 inches) are no longer available only in iconic black (Eclipse Black), but also optionally in blue (Cosmic Blue). For both models, both color options are available with either AMD or Intel internals. The ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 will also have a third variant with Snapdragon X2, but this will be exclusively in black.

Also available only in classic black is the larger ThinkPad T16 (16 inches), powered by AMD or Intel. The same applies to the ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2, a notebook with a 14-inch touchscreen and 360-degree hinges, and the ThinkPad X13 Detachable, a 13-inch tablet with a detachable keyboard in the style of Microsoft's Surface Pro. These two hybrid devices exclusively feature Intel processors.

The new notebooks are expected to go on sale in April or May, and the Windows tablet ThinkPad X13 in July. Lenovo quotes starting prices between 1400 Euros (ThinkPad T14) and 1950 Euros (ThinkPad X13), but provides no associated information such as the respective CPU or storage configurations. Given the global shortage, storage is likely to push better configurations into the 2000 to 3000 Euro range.
More and more colors
In the recent past, Lenovo has already introduced several ThinkPads that were not (only) available in traditional matte black. The premium device ThinkPad X1, for example, was also available in silver; since last fall, the ThinkPad X9 has been available not only in dark gray but also in white.
For the now discontinued AMD series ThinkPad Z, Lenovo adorned the dark gray casing with contrasting sides in warm bronze. However, for the workhorses of the T series, Lenovo was more restrained in terms of color – older generations in optional gray were the most that was offered. (mue)
