Women in Photography: Celebrating c't gallery's female artists
Many female photographers are active in c't photography gallery. For International Women's Day, we present an excerpt from their portfolio.

International Women's Day is a good occasion to focus on the women in the c't photography gallery and highlight their contributions. Many of them are now long-term members who actively participate in and decisively shape the discussions and joint interpretations (GI) as well as the photography. Nevertheless, they are in the minority overall.
The photographic contributions of our female photographers are often characterized by a sense of wonder at the beauty of the world. Some bear witness to curiosity about the unknown, show a fine sense of humor in small discoveries on the street, or an emotional feel for the details found in nature. Their portfolios contain many photographic themes, but few portraits. Who knows, maybe the ladies prefer to be in front of the camera for portraits rather than behind it?

We have divided the works of our female photographers into three categories. The first and largest combines landscape and architectural shots. Here you will find many shots from travels or deliberately designed landscapes. The second gallery presents nature pictures that go into more detail – flowers, animals, insects. In the third category, you will find abstract or experimental photography. This also includes urban motifs or lost places. In this category, photography sometimes borders on applied art, and the spirit of discovery meets the joy of experimentation.
Each of the selected female photographers will be presented one after another with four motifs from her portfolio. We have chosen the motifs thematically, which means we have decided on a theme. One or another gallery photographer may be represented in landscape and architecture, but also enjoys photographing animals and plants. Those who want to learn more about the individual person or like the excerpt from the portfolio can find the personal page of the respective photographer via the links below the pictures. Users who are logged into the gallery can also get in touch via personal messages.
