VR Games Showcase March 2026: All New VR Games and Announcements
The first edition of the VR Games Showcase this year once again delivers numerous announcements and release dates for new VR games.
The well-known co-op heist shooter "Payday" is getting a VR offshoot.

Arguably the biggest announcement from the March issue of the VR Games Showcase is “Payday: Aces High”. The VR offshoot of the popular co-op shooter series is set to be released for Meta Quest 3 and PC-VR later this year. Fans of virtual bank robbery last had the chance to dive into an official VR mode for “Payday 2” eight years ago.
The game concept of the original is what developer and publisher Fast Travel Games wants to bring to Virtual Reality for up to four people. Players will plan and execute heists in VR headsets, working as a team to dismantle a criminal adversary's empire.
Start dates for three VR portings announced
Flat2VR Studios, founded specifically for licensed VR portings, announced several releases at the Showcase. “Roboquest VR” is already available for Steam and Playstation VR2 and is set to receive a new co-op mode in May. The Meta Quest version will also be released in the same month. The shooter adopts the roguelite structure of its predecessor and focuses on fast-paced combat against varied robot enemies.
The chaotic racing classic “FlatOut 4” will also receive a PC-VR adaptation soon. Developer Mutar and publisher Flat2VR Studios plan to launch in Early Access on Steam on April 23, 2026. The VR version will bundle familiar content from the series as well as additional modes and vehicles. There is also a concrete release date for “Wrath: Aeon of Ruin – Brutal Edition”. The VR version of the retro shooter based on the Quake engine, developed by Flat2VR Studios and Team Beef, will be released on April 9, 2026, for Meta Quest, SteamVR, and PS VR2.
Gameplay for “The Boys VR” and new announcements
However, “Prison-Boss” studio Trebuchet has announced a new original title. “Compass” is set to be released with the VR label Creature. The open-world adventure focuses on airships: players control an aircraft through floating landscapes, use grappling tools for puzzles, and upgrade their ship. The launch is planned for Spring 2026 for Quest, SteamVR, and PS VR2.
Innerspace, known for the charming VR adventure “A Fisherman’s Tale“, presented its new project “Spymaster”. The studio describes the project as inspired by classic spy films. Players compete against a corporation whose surveillance systems collect data worldwide. The release is planned for 2026 on Quest and PC-VR.

There is also new information from the VR game based on the successful Amazon series “The Boys“. Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and Arvore Immersive Games presented an extensive stealth sequence from “Trigger Warning”, which will be released on March 26 for Meta Quest 3 and immerses fans directly into the series' universe. There, the main character Lucas Costa gets into a conflict with a superhero family and works together with the “Boys” known from the series.
