The programmers of Microsoft PowerToys have released the hotfix release 0.98.1 of the practical helper collection for Windows. They are primarily addressing stability issues in version 0.98.
According to the release notes for PowerToys 0.98.1, the command palette received most of the fixes. For example, context menu actions no longer appear in the app search results on the main page. Additionally, several specific conditions could cause crashes. The programmers also claim to have reduced flickering in the command palette dock.
In the Keyboard Manager, they have temporarily removed the ability to enable or disable the service separately from the module. Furthermore, the new editor supports space-based keyboard shortcuts. They have also fixed a crash error in PowerToys Run. An enhancement has been made to the Always-On-Top function, allowing hotkeys to increase or decrease opacity independently of the main pin key.
