Fritz is releasing FritzOS version 8.25 for the fifth router to date, the Fritzbox 7530 AX. Unlike the updates of the same name for the Fritzboxen 6660, 6591, 7590 AX and 7590, the manufacturer does not mention any problems with hardware acceleration for packet management for the Fritzbox 7530 AX. The latter faltered with numerous Fritzboxen with FritzOS 8.20, which could manifest as slow connections or complete dropouts.
FritzOS 8.25 should be available for installation via the web interface shortly. Alternatively, users can download the firmware from Fritz and install it manually.
