New VR Games in May 2026: "Spymaster" & "The Evil Inside"
Not a big gaming month for VR fans: the highlights in May are mainly VR ports, DLCs, and titles that were actually supposed to be released last month.
After the packed April, the VR month of May will be rather quiet. But there are a few gems.

May 2026 is unlikely to be remembered by VR fans as an exciting month for games. Only a handful of the VR games announced for this month are likely to be truly convincing. In addition, there are a few exciting ports and DLCs that round off the rather thin offering.
“Spymaster” and “Evil Inside VR”
With “Spymaster”, a tactically oriented stealth game is launching in Early Access in May on Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest 2, and SteamVR. According to the developer, the agent game from InnerspaceVR relies heavily on physical interactions: locks need to be picked, terminals manipulated, and the sometimes open levels explored stealthily. Players should therefore proceed thoughtfully rather than rushing through the game world with a sledgehammer.

On May 7th, “Evil Inside VR” will be released for Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Playstation VR2. Developer JanduSoft describes the game as psychological horror with a strong story component. The protagonist tries to contact his deceased mother through a ritual. Of course, this is not a good idea, and the spiritual attempt at contact immediately turns menacing. “Evil Inside VR” aims to impress with its dense atmosphere, sudden jump scares, and constant uncertainty.

“FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR” and “Roboquest VR”
“FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR“ was actually supposed to be released in April, but was postponed to May 7th at short notice. Initially, the port of the action-packed racing game classic will only be released for SteamVR. A version for Playstation VR2 is planned to follow later. VR fans with strong stomachs can experience the destructive races from a newly designed cockpit perspective. In addition to high speed, the physics are likely to impress, as collisions are expected to lead to spectacular effects.
The Meta Quest version of “Roboquest VR”, announced during the March edition of the VR Games Showcase, is also scheduled for release in May. The VR port, implemented by Flat2VR, is based on the roguelike shooter of the same name for PC and consoles and, like “FlatOut 4 VR”, excels primarily through exceptionally fast action. In parallel with the Quest release, the developers are adding a co-op mode.
DLCs and Updates
Strictly speaking, the VR mode of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 24 for Playstation VR2 should not appear in our May list. However, due to the short-notice release by Asobo Studio on April 30th, we want to mention the title at least. As part of Sim Update 5, the VR mode is free for all owners of the main game on PS5.

The popular “Walkabout Mini Golf VR” will also be expanded in May. With “Blokhaven”, the third DLC course of the year will be released, bringing mini-golf fans to a harbor area inspired by building blocks.
