Bruchtal and Barad-dûr already exist, soon one can also build the capital of Gondor from Lego: The now announced Minas Tirith Set (#11377) consists of 8278 parts and costs 650 Euros. Those who register as an insider with Lego can receive the battering ram Grond along with a few orcs as a free gift with purchase.
Like the other “Lord of the Rings” sets from Lego, Minas Tirith is based on the well-known design from Peter Jackson's films. The city is built in white rings, surrounded by a wall with an ornate gate. The walls can be removed and played with individually. From the back, the set also reveals a playable cross-section with various rooms, including a throne room. There is also a chamber where the Palantir is hidden. The set is a total of 59 cm high, 62 cm wide, and 37 cm deep.

Ten minifigures
The set also includes ten minifigures, including Gandalf in his white variant with his horse Shadowfax, Steward Denethor and his second favorite son Faramir, and Aragorn as King Elessar and his wife Arwen. A few soldiers in full armor complete the cityscape, and Hobbit Pippin also gets a sword in his hand.

Lego is thus expanding its current collection of iconic “Lord of the Rings” film locations: The Shire set (#10354) for 270 Euros, Sauron's Tower Barad-dûr (#10333) for 460 Euros, and Elrond's Elven Refuge Rivendell (#10316) for 500 Euros are already available. In addition, a Balrog bookend and Sauron's helmet are available as construction sets. In the past, the company has also offered “Lord of the Rings” sets from time to time, such as Helm's Deep released in 2012 with set number 9474 or the Tower of Orthanc (10237) released in 2013. Usually, however, these sets were not available for long.
Lego's Minas Tirith will be released on June 4th. Lego Insiders will get early access starting June 1st.
