Unlimited surfing during the UEFA Euro 2024 Deutsche Telekom is granting customers of numerous tariffs free data volume for the European Soccer Championships. This means that you can watch the games on the move without data charges.
The free data volume of the Deutsche Telekom offer is valid from June 14 to July 14, i.e. it covers the entire European Championship: the European Championship kicks off on June 14 at 9 p.m. with the opening match between Germany and Hungary, and the tournament ends on July 14 at 9 p.m. with the final match.
The data flat rate can be booked in the MeinMagenta app via the Magenta Moments loyalty program. The MagentaMobil incl. Young, Data, Business Mobil, Business Mobil Data, PlusCards, Family Card, CombiCards and MagentaEins Unlimited tariffs are eligible - provided they were booked after 2011. In addition, all prepaid tariffs with included data volume are eligible to take part in the offer. Customers of subsidiaries and partner companies such as Congstar, fraenk, ja! mobil and Penny Mobil are not eligible.

Such "data gifts", as Telekom calls them, are more common. In the past, Telekom has repeatedly granted its customers 100 GB of free data volume for limited periods of time. There have also been complete data flat rates for one month.
European Championships with MagentaTV
If Deutsche Telekom had its way, you could watch the European Championship on your cell phone with MagentaTV: Deutsche Telekom's streaming service is showing all 51 matches of the European Championship live, the rights for which the company secured in 2019. ARD and ZDF are only showing 46 matches, including all games involving the German national team.
Theoretically, you can also watch the matches on MagentaTV in upscaled 4k - but you will need a set-top box or a MagentaTV stick. The content is not transmitted in 4k on the app for cell phones, smart TVs and in the browser. MagentaTV costs at least 10 euros for a monthly subscription, which can be canceled at any time.
