In Microsoft's support article, the authors explain where users can configure what and how in Windows 10 and Windows 11. This also includes a reference to the Control Panel.
Hidden discontinuation of the classic Control Panel
"The Control Panel is a feature that has been part of Windows for a long time. It provides a central place to view and change settings and controls. Through a series of applets, various options from system time and date to hardware settings to network settings and more can be customized. The Control Panel is in the process of being phased out for the preferred settings app that offers a modern and more streamlined experience," Microsoft writes there.

Microsoft has been hiding the Control Panel better and better in Windows for some time now. In Windows 11, for example, it can still be found and accessed by searching for "Control Panel". Compared to earlier versions, however, it has already been significantly slimmed down. Many settings can now often only be accessed via the settings.
At the beginning of the week, it was announced that Microsoft intends to mothball the Paint 3D painting program. The list of obsolete functions that will be removed from Windows in the foreseeable future is getting longer and longer. However, the old Control Panel has not yet made it onto this list.
