Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron: A beautiful back is meant to delight
Audi is presenting the SUV coupé counterpart to the Q6 e-tron in Paris. Thanks to its aerodynamic advantages, it should have even more range than the SUV.

Shortly after the long-delayed launch of the Q6 e-tron, the Volkswagen Group is hurrying to spread the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) to other models. From the end of the year, customers will also be able to order the Group's most technically advanced electric car base in an SUV coupé in the Q6 e-tron Sportback. The new variant was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.
Lush format
The "sloping roofline" is reminiscent of the first TT, writes Audi itself. Please judge, dear readers, how close or far this rather brash interpretation comes to the truth. What is certain is that the Coupé has also become a voluptuous car. 4.77 m long and 1.97 m wide, yet 3.7 cm flatter than the SUV: the Q6 Sportback is also aimed at prospective customers looking for a voluminous electric car. Audi promises generous space. Measured against the exterior dimensions, however, the trunk volume of 511 to 1373 liters is average at best. The towing capacity of the Q6 e-tron quattro is 2.4 tons, while all other versions have a towing capacity of 2 tons.

Drives
For the time being, four drive variants are planned, all of which are already known from the SUV. These include two rear-wheel drive and two all-wheel drive versions, although these cannot be freely combined with the two batteries – Audi has made a pre-selection, so to speak.

It is worth noting that Audi makes a small difference in charging power between rear-wheel and all-wheel drive despite the identical battery: instead of 270, the versions with only one motor in the rear have 260Â kW. In practice, this difference is likely to be negligible, as Audi has done a lot to ensure that a high charging capacity is possible within a wide window rather than having a short peak value.

The full-bodied coupé can be ordered from the end of the year. The base model will be sold from 65,900 euros, with rear-wheel drive and a large battery it will cost 71,200 euros. The combination of all-wheel drive and a large battery costs at least 77,100 euros, and the top-of-the-range SQ6 model costs at least 96,200 euros. The other line must therefore be worth a premium of around 2000 euros compared to the SUV.
