Certain HP printers are vulnerable and attackers can exploit a security vulnerability.
According to a warning message, the vulnerability (CVE-2024-5749) is classified as"high". If attacks succeed, SMTP server access data can be viewed. The HP developers are not currently explaining how such an attack could take place.
The DesignJet models T730 and T830 are specifically affected. The firmware candela_dist_pr2_001.2419B is protected against the described attack.
