"Factorio: Space Age" and the 2.0 update have arrived
The factory simulation "Factorio" has its first expansion. A free update also brings quality improvements.

Wube Software has kept its word and delivered the first expansion for "Factorio" on time. As announced, the DLC "Space Age" costs 32 euros via Steam, which is the same price as the main game – and the scope should be correspondingly large.
"Space Age" expands "Factorio" to include the four worlds Vulcanus, Fulgora, Gleba and Aquilo with different ecosystems, challenges and materials to mine and process. Also included: flying factories for transporting goods between the worlds.
The expansion also introduces five quality levels for all items, entities and equipment. "Normal" corresponds to the previous base value. The bonuses are improved with each quality level, up to 150 percent for "Legendary". For a solar panel, for example, the maximum power generation increases from 60 to 150 kilowatts.

"Factorio" 2.0
Meanwhile, the base game has received a major update to version 2.0 with all kinds of quality improvements. The base planet –, now called Nauvis –, has been given a facelift to bring it into line with the new worlds. Those who prefer the old look can also switch back to it.
New tracks, including control improvements, enable more complex freight transportation by rail. However, the elevated tracks at a higher level are only available to purchasers of the DLC. A new "Remote View" simplifies resource management, even across different planets. Liquids should now behave more predictably and thus cause less frustration.
