Advice from Apple: How to make your iPhone last longer
Is your Apple phone not lasting as long as it should? Apple has published a new long list of advice on what you can do.

Apple has published a freshly updated support document in which the company provides tips on how to maximize battery life on the iPhone. The detailed document also explains how to check the current capacity and determine which apps are particularly power-hungry.
iPhone makes its own suggestions
iOS now provides so-called battery suggestions in the "Battery" section of the system settings. If the function is not already active, – is advised to activate the automatic brightness setting, leave the automatic device lock active and, if necessary, reduce the screen brightness and prohibit apps from accessing the location in the background , for example –.
However, it is even more interesting to check the data determined by the device, which can be done in the form of an activity diagram in the same place in the system settings. Among other things, the activity time of the screen is recorded there, the app with the highest power consumption is displayed and the consumption history over a longer period of time is shown. Background activities and problems such as poor reception (which in turn can drain the battery) are also listed.
If nothing helps, the battery must be replaced
Apple's other tips concern the network connection (always use WLAN if possible), the battery life after updates (can initially be reduced over several days because system processes have to run) and the use of power-saving mode, which is automatically offered when the battery life drops below 20 percent. It is also important to keep an eye on the basic battery status.
This can be viewed in the system settings under "Battery" and "Battery status" (iPhone 15 and above) or under "Battery status & charging" (iPhone 14 and older devices). "If 'Service' is displayed next to 'Battery Health', you should consider replacing the battery to restore full performance and capacity," writes Apple. Apple lists the prices in its service portal.
