Apple year 2025: What we expect – and what we don't
New iPhones & Macs, a Vision Pro 2 and one or two special products: 2025 remains an interesting year for Apple. This also applies to services, software and AI.

2024 was an exciting year for Apple: the Apple Intelligence AI system was released, the Vision Pro came onto the market and the Mac mini M4 was introduced as a new compact desktop – alongside various other product launches. But what's next for Apple in 2025? An overview of the devices we can expect in the coming months.
Spring: iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, HomePod accessories
Various new devices are likely to be launched as early as March or April. – After a long wait, – is expected to launch the iPhone SE 4, a new entry-level smartphone with Face ID, its own Apple 5G modem and Apple Intelligence support. The iPad 11, also with Apple Intelligence, is also expected. A HomePod including a display could also be released in spring. Alternatively, a pure Home accessory with a display is also conceivable, which would be a new product category for Apple. There is also speculation about an Apple doorbell or Apple camera.
New third-generation AirPods Pro accessories are expected – when exactly is still unclear. They could feature heart rate monitoring for the first time. Less likely is a new edition of the AirPort wireless router, which Apple buried years ago.
Mac: professional models, Air and M5 notebooks
Apple has to bring several Mac models up to M4. This applies first of all to the MacBook Air, which is expected to be launched in the spring. Alternatively, an introduction at WWDC in the summer would also be conceivable. Mac Studio and Mac Pro are currently still stuck at M2. As soon as an M4 Ultra is available, both workstations could be updated accordingly, in the case of the Mac Studio also with the existing M4 Max. As far as the M5 is concerned, things are likely to continue in the fall. New MacBook Pro models can be expected here. However, hopes of seeing OLED displays in professional notebooks for the first time could be dashed.
It is still unclear whether new models in the Air and Pro series will be released alongside the iPad 11. Apple could go up to M3 (Air) and M5 (Pro) here or skip the year – if there are new models, May would be a good date. The iPad mini, which was released in generation 7 in 2024, is unlikely to be changed.

iPhone 17 and Apple Watch 11 in the fall
New iPhones are due again in the fall. In addition to the 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models, which feature improved processors, new cameras and internal optimizations, a new form factor is also expected. The "17 Air" or "17 Slim" is said to be the thinnest iPhone to date. It is likely to appear in place of a successor to the iPhone 16 Plus and point the way towards a foldable iPhone.
Little is yet known about the Apple Watch Series 11, which could contain a blood pressure sensor for the first time and support 5G. A third generation of the Apple Watch Ultra is to be expected, after Apple only equipped the model series with a new color scheme in 2024. The Apple Watch SE could also be updated – with a new processor (system-in-a-package). Accessories are expected to include a new Magic Mouse – allegedly with voice recognition. The Vision Pro could appear in a slightly improved second version, as could the popular trackers in the AirTags series.
