Apple WWDC developer conference: program announced
Apple has announced the program for its WWDC developer conference. A keynote video will be streamed online on June 10 at 7 p.m. German time.

Apple announced the program for its annual Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) on Tuesday evening, German time. Several app developers from Germany have also been nominated for the Apple Design Awards, which are presented during the multi-day event. Once again, Apple is holding WWDC as an online conference from June 10 to 14. However, there will also be a small face-to-face event for selected developers and invited media representatives at the headquarters, Apple Park in Cupertino.
The traditional keynote will kick off the event on Monday, June 10, starting at 10 a.m. local time (7 p.m. CEST). Apple promises new software in the latest press release. There will be "the latest technologies, tools and frameworks for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS and watchOS". The keynote will be available as a stream on apple.com/en, in the Apple Developer App, in the Apple TV App and on the Apple YouTube channel and can also be watched on demand after the end of the stream. It is not yet clear whether there will also be hardware to see.
AI functions expected
The focus of WWDC will most likely be on AI functions in the software, as Apple has already held out the prospect of these several times this year. With the Vision Pro, the question arises whether version 2 of the operating system will already be presented, after the spatial computer was only released in February. Rumors have also recently been circulating that Apple could use WWDC to release the headset in other countries. So far, the Vision Pro is only available in the USA.
Following the keynote, the Platforms State of the Union will provide a more profound insight into the changes in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS and watchOS as well as new tools. The Platform's State of the Union will be broadcast in the Apple Developer App and on the Apple Developer website. A replay will be available after the end of the stream in the Apple Developer App, on the website and on the YouTube channel.
More than 100 technical sessions
Throughout the week, developers can interact directly with Apple engineers, designers and other experts in more than 100 technical sessions, one-on-one meetings and live forums. The event is free to attend. Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members can interact directly with Apple employees through online labs and one-on-one meetings. Technical support will also be available in the Developer Forums.
The 100+ sessions will be available through the Apple Developer app, website and YouTube channel. This year, developers can also access curated guides that walk them through the conference's major announcements, from new documentation to sessions and more.
Three nominees from Germany
As part of the Swift Student Challenge, a programming competition for young people, 50 winners were recognized for their entries and will visit Apple Park for three days during WWDC week.
The Apple Design Awards, meanwhile, recognize excellence in app and game design. This year's finalists were announced on Tuesday evening via the Apple Developer website and the Apple Developer app. This year's winners will be announced shortly.
Three app developers from Germany have been nominated: Ahead Solutions GmbH for their app "Ahead: Emotions Coach" app and Mucks Games UG for its game "The Bear" in the "Social Impact" category, as well as Algoriddim GmbH for its "djay" app in the "Spatial Computing" category.
