Pixar film "Upside Down 2" highest-grossing animated film of all time
The second installment of Pixar's "Upside Down" is more successful than the first in terms of sales.

So far, the animated film 'Upside Down 2' has generated worldwide sales of 1.46 billion US dollars (1.35 billion euros). According to the entertainment company Disney, this makes it the highest-grossing animated film of all time. This position was previously held by "The Ice Queen II".

Like "Frozen II", "Everything is Upside Down 2" was created at Pixar Animation Studios, which Disney acquired in 2006. It was released in cinemas in mid-June and surpassed the one billion dollar sales mark after 19 days, Disney announced. The first part was released in 2015 and grossed 859 million US dollars. In 2016, Pixar won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film with it.
"Dune 2" in second place
In the overall ranking of the highest-grossing films of all time, which is led by "Avatar", it takes 13th place according to Disney. According to the market observers at The Numbers, "The Big Picture 2" tops the list of the most successful films by revenue for this year overall, with"Dune 2" in second place so far.
As in the first part, "Everything is Upside Down 2" deals allegorically with the processes in a young human psyche. The first part shows the inner life of young Riley, who is torn away from her familiar surroundings in Minnesota and has to find her way in San Francisco. Joy, anger, fear, disgust and sorrow interact as independent characters in Riley's head. In the second part, puberty causes confusion: doubt, ennui (boredom), envy and embarrassment are added. The FSK released the film without an age restriction.
